Terminology
An individualized educational plan (IEP) is developed for every student receiving services through Special Education.  The plan is developed after a comprehensive multi-disciplinary team, including the parents, has reviewed all available data.

  • PPCD - This program is for children aged 3 through 5.  These students are provided instruction in all areas of early childhood development.

  • Speech Therapy- Available for students aged 3-21 based upon educational needs identified in their IEP.

  • Resource Classes- Available for students who are in need of academic support for specific subjects based upon their IEP.

  • Content Mastery (CM)- Available for students to receive special education support while receiving instruction in the general education classroom. 

  • Vocational Adjustment Classes (VAC)- Available for high school students who are ready for specific job training and job placement.

  • Homebound Classes- Available for students who are medically unable to attend classes on a campus.  Need is based upon physician recommendation and ARD Committee decision.
